Howard University at Walter Reed Building 7

Project Brief
At Building 7 on Howard University’s Walter Reed Campus, DAVIS and H2 Design Build are renovating the space to support both academic and research functions. The project transforms the building into a flexible swing space featuring private and shared offices, meeting rooms, and a café. As the first HBCU to lead a University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) — and the 15th overall — Howard is breaking new ground, with this facility expected to become the home of the Research Institute for Tactical Autonomy. To support that mission, our team is delivering secured areas alongside collaborative workspaces, creating an environment where innovation can thrive.
