We became an employee-owned company in 1990 and still are today. Our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is one way DAVIS shares profits with employees. The ESOP is a savings vehicle for your retirement that is not dependent on your 401(k) contributions. Another way DAVIS shares profits with employees is through annual performance-based bonuses. DAVIS also provides opportunities to meet with a financial advisor monthly at no cost to you.
DAVIS pays 100% of healthcare premiums, which means there are no payroll deductions for medical, dental or prescription coverage for you or your dependents. Additionally, DAVIS offers company-paid disability and life insurance benefits, as well as an annual contribution to your Health Savings Account (HSA). Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides free and confidential access to counseling and other mental health resources. Add our robust Wellness Program and on-site fitness center, and you have the tools to take care of YOU.
As a 4th generation family-owned company, we understand the importance of those relationships at work and home. To support our employees, the DAVIS package includes paid time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave and a flexible work location policy. DAVIS also hosts monthly employee events and several annual events that include employees’ families. You may even see a DAVIS dog or two in the office on Fridays.
DAVIS has become synonymous with growth, thanks to our commitment to employee development. Learning + Development is a department dedicated to the education of our employees. You’ll meet with your manager several times a year to discuss areas of continued growth. These opportunities help to hone your skills and take your career to the next level.
As a Senior Project Manager, Kara manages some of our biggest, most complex interiors projects. She is also a mom to three active boys. Between soccer games, swim practices, and managing her workload, Kara has a lot on her plate. Benefits like paid parental leave, paid time off, and flexible work location gives working parents the flexibility they need.
Kara's education and work experience in Architecture gives her a unique advantage in the building process and communicating with clients. She is regularly out and about for various industry engagement events and serves on the Board of Directors for Calvary Women's Services. At DAVIS, we recognize the value of industry and community connections and encourage all of our employees to get involved in a way that benefits their career advancement.
Connecting with clients doesn't just happen on the project site. Kara, and several other DAVIS coworkers, formed a running group for industry colleagues. They meet at 6 AM each Thursday morning for a trail run through Rock Creek Park in DC.
Giacomo starts the day with his family, sending his daughter off to school and checking in on his son (who's now in college!) before hitting the road for the office. Family is one of his main priorities. At DAVIS, we make sure our employees have a healthy work life balance equipped with 100% employer-paid medical, dental and prescription insurance premiums.
When Giacomo gets to the office, it's time for business. As an Estimating Executive, he manages our bid process and takes full advantage of our newly renovated Rockville-HQ that features collaborative, sustainable, and technology-driven spaces.
You can usually find him at his desk or in the bid room, but Giacomo also regularly visits project sites. Whether he is driving his company-provided vehicle or taking the Metro just steps from our HQ, he sees our work in action from beginning to end.
Want to experience what DAVIS has to offer? We're always looking for talented people to join our team.
