Project Brief

With its location in downtown DC, 601 Indiana Avenue was a prime candidate for a reimagining. However, the low floor-to-floor heights and high sill lines present major challenges when converting this space to a hotel. The proposed redesign aims to revitalize the structure and modernize the Pavilion on Pilots system, a common design style during the time of the original office's construction. The new hotel will provide a more updated use of old space while preserving and modernizing the design principals implemented during the time.

601 Indiana Avenue is scheduled to open its doors to the public at the end of 2026.
