DAVIS Breaks Ground on Historic Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Downtown Frederick

We are proud to share that construction is officially underway on the new full‑service Marriott hotel and conference center in Downtown Frederick. The groundbreaking event, led by Plamondon Hospitality Partners with state and local leaders including Maryland Governor Wes Moore, marks an important milestone for the long-anticipated project, and a major investment in Frederick’s growing economy.

The new building includes 204 rooms, more than 26,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, and a 250‑space public parking garage that will support both hotel operations and the neighboring downtown area. Once complete, this facility will provide a central venue capable of hosting large conferences and business gatherings within walking distance of Frederick’s restaurants, shops, and cultural destinations.

For us, this project represents a meaningful contribution to the continued revitalization of the Carroll Creek corridor. As construction progresses, we are closely coordinating with all project partners to maintain momentum toward the planned 2027 opening!
