The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Project Management Team with the daily management, coordination, and execution of the construction process. This role will assist with safety management, quality, cost management, contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding and contract administration function to ensure successful completion of the project, both timely and within budget.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced (two plus years) Assistant Project Manager looking to grow their career with DAVIS. Our immediate need is for an Assistant Project Manager working with 3 seasoned Senior Project Managers on the JW Marriot Hotel/Condo at the Reston Row District.

Here’s what you get to do:

  • Partner with project team and EHS Managers on supporting DAVIS’ #1 priority – safety.
  • Assist project manager and project team on interactions with subcontractors, owners, architects, and other key players
  • Participate in a variety of Market Sectors within commercial construction including: Office Base Building + Interiors, Multi-Family Residential, Renovation, Education, Healthcare and more
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Field Supervision teams on execution of project through various different stages.
  • Work alongside and learn with seasoned Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and project teams
  • Support the project collaboration with support groups like Scheduling, Virtual Construction and Quality for project success
  • Work with well-respected and best ranked architects and key players in the DC metro area

  

Here’s who you are: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of general contracting construction experience with expertise in 1-2 trades with desire to learn all trades
  • Knowledge of and ability to learn technical systems and processes
