Mercersburg Academy - Center for Science and Innovation
Project Brief
Mercersburg Academy is one of the premier schools in the country with a rich history. The DAVIS team is helping add to that history with the new Judy and Allen Zern '61 Hall for Science and Innovation, a facility that will transform the heart of campus with state-of-the-art science, robotics, and hands-on maker spaces.
Zern Hall is designed as a flexible, collaborative learning and research environment that can evolve alongside emerging technologies and academic needs. The facility brings together dedicated spaces for research science, environmental science, and advanced computer science, as well as hands-on fabrication spaces including a wood shop, metal shop, 3D printing lab, and robotics studio. Classrooms will support a new concentration in engineering, while a multi-use lecture room will provide space for events and gatherings across campus.
Doors are opening to students in 2029. Stay tuned for more updates!
