DAVIS Continues to Provide Local and National Community Support in 2025

For nearly 60 years, the DAVIS mission to build success for all has extended beyond the built environment. With community outreach at the core of our culture, we’ve partnered with numerous organizations that foster meaningful change in our communities. 2025 was no different as we continued to support local groups dedicated to a variety of causes, from ensuring local students have the tools for success to helping the development of safe and affordable housing.

Calvary Women’s Services
Calvary Women’s Services empowers women in DC to rebuild their lives through housing, health, education, and employment programs. With Kara Mele continuing her service as Board Vice President for the organization, we supported multiple events, including sponsorship and donating raffle prizes to the Hope Awards, and supporting the Home for the Holidays Soiree.

Habitat For Humanity Metro Maryland – Women Build
Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland (HFHMM) empowers low-income families through affordable housing. Their Women Build program unites hundreds of women statewide to construct homes, particularly for single mothers. As a Neighborhood Sponsor, we gathered two teams of ten women, dedicating two impactful days to building a fence for a new homeowner in Montgomery County. DAVIS also raised donations for HFHMM totaling $10,000.

American Heart Association
We proudly partnered with the American Heart Association (AHA) for our eighth year to fight against heart disease and stroke. Over 60 of our colleagues had a blast at this year’s AHA Greater Washington Region Heart Walk, including Principal Mike Pittsman who serves on the event’s Executive Leadership Team. We raised over $35,000 in support of breakthrough research, CPR training, treatment development, and equitable healthcare.

Jubilee Housing
We are always happy to help our long-time friends at Jubilee Housing bring joy and resources to families in need. This year we participated in a number of events, including donating to and volunteering at the Elf Store, where children in the Jubilee community can shop for gifts for their families, and supporting Jubillee with a Back to School donation drive. We also sponsored their Raise the Roof for Justice Housing event that helps them continue their mission of providing deeply affordable housing in resource-dense neighborhoods.

Breakthrough T1D Real Estate Games
Breakthrough T1D is dedicated to creating a future without Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Each year, the DC Real Estate Games are hosted to raise funds for research, care, and treatment of T1D. As a sponsor and participant, over 45 of our interns and employees competed in games such as Jenga, basketball, volleyball, and more to help raise an incredible $600,000 in total for the organization!

Rebuilding Together Montgomery County
For the last six years we’ve sponsored a home renovation project with Rebuilding Together Montgomery County (RTMC). This year, we had the privilege of supporting Jeanette, a single mother of three who also cares for her elderly mother. Partway through a home renovation project, Jeanette experienced health issues that kept her from working, and unable to afford the completion of the work. Together with Rock Spring Drywall and some family and friends, our team stepped in to help complete the project with a brand-new kitchen, drywall, painting, and more.

Through this work, we were named Volunteer Business of the Year at the 2025 Montgomery Serves Awards!

Northstar Tutoring
Northstar Tutoring provides free, one-on-one tutoring and mentoring for K–12 students across the Washington, DC area. This year, during the holidays, we fulfilled a group of students’ wish lists and provided essential items like coats, socks, games, and toys.

Samaritan Inns
For the twelfth year, we teamed up with Clark Construction Group to co-host the Samaritan Inns fundraising breakfast, which was held at the new Reston Row development in Reston, VA. In partnership with Clark, DAVIS raised over $67,000 for the organization. Samaritan Inns provides services, rehabilitation programs, and shelter for people and their families recovering from addiction and homelessness.

Trucking Safety Coalition
Our twelfth annual Charity Golf Tournament took place in September with 140 participants representing 32 of our trade partners who generously sponsored the tournament. With their help, we raised over $75,000 in support of the Institute for Safer Trucking and the Truck Safety Coalition.

The Institute for Safer Trucking advocates for safer roads by advancing data-driven policies and programs aimed at reducing crashes and improving safety outcomes for all roadway users. The Truck Safety Coalition works tirelessly to support victims of truck crashes and their families, while also pushing for stronger safety regulations within the trucking industry. Billy Suter, a long time DAVIS employee, made it his mission to support trucking safety after the loss of his daughter, Morgan.

As DAVIS enters our 60th year, we are committed to strengthening the relationships that help drive meaningful change in our communities. Thank you to all our partners for continuing to serve those in need.
