This introductory course will provide participants with an overview of the basic principles of mass timber construction (MTC). In addition to learning about paradigm shifts and industry innovations in MTC, specific course topics will include essential materials utilized in MTC, its unique considerations, a comparison of MTC to traditional construction (steel and concrete), and items to keep in mind that will lead to success when involved on an MTC project.
