Project Brief

The City of Alexandria has a new high-tech corridor in Potomac Yard, and The Institute for Defense Analyses'(IDA) new headquarters is the newest face in the neighborhood. After over ten years of planning for their new center of operations, IDA trusted DAVIS to bring their new home to life. and our team was up for the challenge. The build-to-suit office building project consists of two eight-story towers, as well as landscaped courtyards, a five-level parking garage and enclosed pedestrian bridges connecting the towers. Additionally, the interior includes a 300-person auditorium and conference center. IDA's headquarters joins other DAVIS projects in Potomac Yard, including the National Industries for the Blind headquarters and American Physical Therapy Association's Centennial Center.
