DURATION:4 Months 192,000-SF of interior "green" construction in a new class "A" office building in Washington, DC. This project includes a 5,000-SF classroom and training facility; a 4,000-SF visitor center; a 4,000-SF photography darkroom and laboratory; an 18,000-SF storage facility; an 8,000-SF computer room with supplemental AC and UPS systems; and a first-floor mailroom equipped with virus-precautionary systems. DAVIS and Management Alternatives partnered to coordinate and supervise the systems furniture installation. There are eight typical floors, each of which includes an eighty percent open office layout with system's furniture and Ergo Lighting. This fixture is unique because it is tied into the LAN network, thus allowing each individual to control his or her individual light fixture and lighting level.
