The highlight of this 131,500-SF project in Crystal City, is a grand staircase clad in millwork with stainless steel / glass handrails and terrazzo stair treads.  The main reception area features wood panels, 15-foot high ceilings, and terrazzo floors.  The network operation center has a pre-action system; generator and UPS backup; fabric panels, and upgraded HVAC systems.  The office space includes a meeting area with sliding lacquer doors, full height glass sidelights, and plasma screen televisions.  The offices have aluminum frames, aluminum sidelights, and floating ceilings in the workstation areas.  The conference center has center pivoting rotating doors, a Lutron dimming system, two rows of operable partitions, and motorized shades.  One of the biggest challenges on this project was ceiling coordination as there were just 14 inches of plenum space to install sprinkler pipe, ductwork, light fixtures, and the cable tray.
