The Solutions Architect is to work with stakeholders, leadership and subject matter experts to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets. This knowledge is used to ensure that the business and technology solutions are in alignment and to link the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organization to its Business Solutions strategy.

 

Integrations are a critical element of this holistic approach. By providing a seamless exchange of information between enterprise systems we gain efficiency, agility, and responsiveness in delivering solutions. 

 

Here’s what you get to do:

  • Align Business Solutions applications and data strategy and planning with company's business goals
  • Optimize information management through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities
  • Take strategic responsibility for the company's enterprise solutions + systems
  • Participate in development and implementation of new business systems
  • Analyze and validate requirements against potential software and hardware solutions
  • Define solution requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms
  • Work with other staff members to provide consensus-based enterprise solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with ever changing business needs

 

DATA MANAGEMENT

  • Participate in, manage and develop Master Data Management strategy
  • Participate in, manage and develop the Data Warehouse
  • Manage and maintain Relational Data Stores
  • Design conceptual and logical data models in support to enterprise reporting and visualization platforms

 

INTEGRATIONS

  • Create, manage and maintain integrations between enterprise solutions (e.g. using documented APIs)
  • Participate in, manage and develop integration strategy
  • Participate in, manage and develop ETL work
  • Automation utilizing Power Platform and Azure Services

 

GENERAL

  • Perform responsibilities with trust, excellence in service, integrity and building relationships as exemplified in DAVIS core values
  • May develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides
  • Adhere to and reinforces corporate security policies and industry best practices in day to day operations and interactions with end users
  • Maintain and foster relationships with outside technology consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for products and services
  • Serve as a liaison between 3rd party solution providers and DAVIS internal business groups
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Here’s who you are: (required) 

  • Seven (7) to nine (9) years related experience; minimum of four (4) years supporting enterprise applications*
  • Knowledge of information systems and technology governance and operations*
  • Knowledge of the business for which business solutions are being developed*
  • Design, develop, test and deploy integrations.*  
  • Maintain integrations in support of company goals to include monitoring, performance, and security.* 
  • Experience with integration services and/or integration platforms.* 
  • Create functional and technical documentation.* 
  • Participate in, manage and develop ETL process. 
  • Perform data analysis during the integration and ETL processes. 
  • Participate in Business Solutions project planning and lead projects.  

 

Here’s What we love for you to have: (preferences)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math or related field or demonstrated experience in providing information technology supporting*
  • May develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides
  • Strong understanding of database architecture and administration
  • Understand concepts of enterprise data management in support of enterprise reporting and visualization
  • Experience in automating business processes
  • Experience integrating disparate enterprise solutions
  • Understanding of the Microsoft Azure and 365 platforms
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Platform or other low code environments
  • Previous construction industry experience preferred
